What is Pilates?

Pilates to me is journey of self awareness, a link between the mind, body and senses. Its about making time for myself on a regular basis, Stopping............ to Listen, to what my body has to say.

Although some of the exercises appear quite simple, Pilates is not easy. Quite often physical symptoms are a manifestation of what's going on in your life ......... so to listen, to really listen to your body takes time, practice and effort.

Pain is your body's way of telling you that something in your life is unbalanced, overuse injuries too are your bodies way of saying something may need to change. That's why Pilates is not a quick- fix solution - So its not for everyone, but if you are ready to take responsibility for your health and well-being then it may be a step in the right direction.
